“The project documents a station in the life of my grandfather Abraham and my grandmother Mira. They came from Ukraine to Israel at the age of retirement and in the last years, in addition to their daily struggle with the language difficulties, the hard climate and the different culture, they also had to face my grandmother’s cancer. I began to photograph them soon after we found out about the disease, three years ago. My grandmother died last year and this was her last stop in time.”
