About

About_meMy name is Constantin Nimigean and I’m from Romania. This website was born in January 2007 from the idea of having a blog where I could share stuff with my friends, but step by step it changed into a platform for educating and promoting contemporary photographic projects from all around the world. The name of the blog is an invented word and it sort of means “sheep things”.

The main texts of the entries are the artists’ statements, I’m not writing about the photo-projects since I’m not a good writer (yet). This website is a web-photogallery and I’m its web-curator.

In January 2011, I also began to edit an online photo-magazine called Love Issue because I decided to have a compact product of my blog and a magazine of my own, a bimonthly digest of what I find interesting on the Internet and worth sharing in a graphic context. The name came after a brainstorming with my girlfriend when I was thinking to feature love and issues in my first issue of my “no-name-yet” magazine”.

About_LIThe main reasons that kept me and will keep me online from now on:
• there will never be enough platforms for promoting great photographic projects, especially in Romania;
• photographers should be inspired and stimulated to create more series and projects;
• I keep on meeting great people with great stories that should be shared.

Awards for my activity:
• lots of new friends that I wish to take out for beer/tea;
• books from some great people who really wanted to send me a present for what I do;
• one of the top photography website in 2011, according to LaPuraVida Magazine.
• best photoblog on RoBlogFest in 2011.
