Megan Baker – Little Boxes

0

Megan Baker is a 17-year-old photographer. She began taking photos at age 4 when she got a hold of the family polaroid and began documenting the fascinating lives of her beanie babies. She spent the next few years doing photography in 4-H and taking up an interest in concert photography.  At 14, she began her series “Decampment” about abandoned buildings, after finishing it she spent the following year making contacts in the music industry, and returned to fine art at age 16 to begin working on her current series, “Little Boxes.”
Little Boxes is a body of work about the mysteries of obscure little buildings. I have always had a fascination for antique boxes and chests, wondering what had been inside and the identification of past owners.
