Gustavo Minas – Limites

“Limites” is a never ending project about the neighborhoods in the outskirts of Cassia, the city I was born in. I’ve been working on it since 2010. Though these are not the barrios I grew up in, I was attracted by how people spend their time on the streets there, the way neighbors interact and children still play outdoors, which reminds me of my own childhood. It’s half urban and half rural, and its low light combined with the strong vivid colors of the walls remind me of some Edward Hopper paintings. – Gustavo Minas
