Tudor Platon – New Year’s Eve
The tradition of New Year’s Eve is starting to fade away from the Romanian villages and in its place a big party is happening with loud music, food delicacies, last seconds count-down, fireworks, alcohol and text messages. Dumitru (73) and Maria (70) are married from 1963 and they live alone in the last house from the village of Ceahlau. For them, the 31th of December is just an ordinary day and the New Year’s Eve is a very good reason to watch the national network television.
