Claudiu Popescu – Are you drunk?
I met Claudiu on a photography forum and I really wanted to see a portfolio of his works, nicely organized on a website. So he recently launched some very interesting stories on www.claudiupopescu.com. I proudly helped him with this featured project as the club where these photos were taken is one of my favorites, too.

You’re in the club, it’s way past midnight, you’re having fun (or not), and the level of alcohol in your body is putting you in an unbearable state of excitement (or not). Ever wondered what your face looks like at that particular moment?
Photos are taken against the wall at the entrance to Club Control, in Bucharest.
After photographing them, I asked every subject the same three questions: “what’s your name?”, “what do you do for a living?”, “how much did you drink tonight?”. Make it a poll, a joke, a statistic, or just a collection of portraits, the following pictures are what resulted from the experiment.

I can only see some amateur snapshots. Apart from the fact the people are drunk, what is special about these pictures?
I’m very surprised that you see these people drunk because I’m not that sure they were.
Also, the main purpose of this website is to feature photographic projects and I found this one quite interesting and fun for a casual Friday.
