“Chemical factory tells about a research field that refers to reality indicators from industrial area in Romania of the 80s’. The central subject in these photos is the time, the visual reading of the images are crossing empathic the time being simultaneously present and absent by superimposing two completely different periods. The superimposing images were built on former factory slides found in the chemical industry (Chimopar), and photos taken by me in 6 months, in other words I could say that by combining the two periods I have formed a third reality based on two visions which have a distance between them for 28 years.
This project is carrying a kind of collective memory forgotten in time and space which constitute the basic subject of the work.”
