“When we think of Pop Art we think of contemporary society and culture, particularly consumerism. What does Romanian society consumes nowadays? Due intensive/aggressive advertising, contemporary Romanian society prefers to consume the illusion of a perfect product instead of using and recreating the original values of the Romanian people. Thus the constant unbalanced conflict between the temptation of asking from divinity instead of using the tools within reach to achieve the desired aspirations, junk-food versus traditional food, trash culture versus authentic culture, intrusive foreign languages versus mother tongue, the attraction for the foreign symbols lead towards loosing the national identity.”
