“In the summer of 2009, federal, state and local authorities conducted the largest ever raid on illegal dog fighting. The Missouri Humane society was overnight tasked with taking care of over 500 dogs. Four months after the raid, I was asked by Kira Pollack at Time Magazine to do a series of 80 photographs at a secret holding site in St Louis. Additional to the photographs, we produced a 4 minute video which is posted in the Moving Image section of this site. Six months after the story ran, almost all of the 500 dogs have been placed.”
