Diamond often spends all day locked in a room with no company. The young woman who says she loves Diamond hits her  whenever she gets drunk or high, which is much of the time. If you saw a dog being abused like Diamond, you’d probably report it.
Too bad for Diamond she isn’t a dog.
We’re the Uptown Community Clinic and we serve the uninsured and underinsured in Minneapolis. It frustrates us that so many  people want to help animals but can’t be bothered to help a child like Diamond.
If you suspect child abuse or neglect, call  Hennepin County Child Protection, 612-348-3553. Please.

Lucy is fending for herself, eating whatever she can find. She’s used to it. The last time she was properly fed, she was being  nursed. If people know a horse that is not being cared for, they report it. Which doesn’t do Lucy much good; Lucy is not a horse.
We’re the Uptown Community Clinic and we provide services to the uninsured and underinsured in Minneapolis. The last thing we want is for anyone to stop caring about animals. But, by showing a horse instead of a child, we’ve increased the chances you’d  read this appeal by a factor of six. What does they say about our society? Must Lucy and all the kids like her grow tails before we  see them?
If you suspect child abuse or neglect, call Hennepin County Child Protection, 612-348-3553. Please.

If you saw someone throw sam against a wall, would you say something?
It’s very likely you would – If Sam were a cat.
Unfortunately for him, Sam is a little boy.
As a provider of health services to the uninsured and underinsured in Minneapolis, we at the Uptown Community Clinic have seen lots of kids like Sam. It’s great that everyone is so concerned about animals, but what does is say about America when abuse is five or six times more likely to be reported if the victim is not human?
Please speak up if you see someone hurting a child.
To report a case of abuse of neglect, phone Hennepin County Child Protection, 612-348-3553. Thank you.
