www.areimer.co.uk and her blog.

“Reimer’s main practice addresses the relationship between body, place and memory. Throughout her imagery she makes use of a surrealistic language to explore femininity, sexuality and loss. The female body is fragmented and dismembered, fracturing the power of the photographic gaze. Reimer is inspired by the location of her photographic performance where she uses herself as the subject. The location of the work holds high importance as does the performance, the locations used is of high personal value. Reimer’s performances are quiet, yet powerful evocations of a hidden unknown.”
